TALENOV
Foundation Notes

The Talenov Editorial Record.

Established in Jakarta in 2019, Talenov operates as a single-purpose resource: documenting what peer-reviewed nutritional and behavioural science actually shows for men who want structured, evidence-informed guidance without commercial distortion.

Why the resource exists

The initial observation was straightforward: the majority of men's wellness content online occupies two poles — motivational material that references no sources, or academic literature that requires professional training to interpret. Neither serves a man who wants to act on what the research shows without investing years into interpreting it independently.

Talenov was built to occupy the middle position. Each module starts with the published research, passes through an editorial evaluation process, and is rendered into applicable daily guidance. The voice is not motivational. It does not claim dramatic results. It reports on what consistent evidence shows over time, for men in active urban environments.

The Jakarta base is intentional. Guidance produced for a tropical urban environment accounts for climate-specific hydration and recovery variables, seasonal dietary availability, and the particular work-life rhythm of an equatorial metropolitan centre.

02 / EDITORIAL STANDARDS

What constitutes acceptable evidence

Accepted
  • Peer-reviewed publications in indexed nutritional, exercise science, or behavioural journals
  • Registered systematic reviews and meta-analyses with documented population relevance
  • Qualified wellness and nutrition professionals with documented credentials
  • Replicated findings with minimum two independent confirmation studies
  • Longitudinal observational data with documented methodology and cohort demographics
Excluded
  • Manufacturer-funded single studies with undisclosed methodology
  • Anecdotal reports, influencer endorsements, or affiliate-driven content
  • Findings from studies with sample sizes under 30 when making general population claims
  • Animal model findings presented as directly applicable to human subjects
  • Pre-print publications that have not completed peer review at time of editorial assessment
03 / STRUCTURE

How the editorial team operates

The Talenov editorial structure is flat and deliberate. A lead editor coordinates with a panel of contributing qualified nutrition and wellness professionals, each responsible for a defined module area. No contributor carries a commercial affiliation with supplement or nutrition brands — this constraint is part of the onboarding agreement for all contributors.

Source attribution is maintained at document level. Every claim in a published module has an associated citation stored in the internal reference library. When a reader questions a specific claim, the source document can be retrieved and shared within two working days.

The quarterly review cycle is scheduled, not reactive. Rather than waiting for controversy to prompt a revision, the editorial calendar builds in systematic re-evaluation of all published modules against the most recent issue of relevant journals. Modules that no longer align with current evidence are taken offline during revision.

Talenov Editorial Principle, 2019
04 / EDITORIAL VALUES

Four operating principles

01

Source transparency

Every factual assertion is backed by at least two independent sources. Source details are stored internally and available to readers on request. No claim is published on editorial opinion alone.

02

Commercial independence

Talenov carries no sponsored content, no affiliate links, and no paid placements. Revenue is derived from consultation services. Editorial direction is not influenced by commercial considerations.

03

Practical framing

Research findings are only published if they translate into a specific, applicable action for daily life. Theoretical findings without a clear practical implication are noted but not foregrounded.

04

Revision over correction

When guidance becomes outdated, the relevant module is taken offline and rewritten from scratch. Appending a disclaimer to contradicted content is considered an editorial failure at Talenov.
